Welcome to Year 2 of Pregnancy Awareness Month (aka PAM).

My co-founder, Alisa Donner, and I are so excited to be embarking on this celebratory campaign again. May is Pregnancy Awareness Month (PAM). Welcome to our first 2009 newsletter! When I was pregnant with my first child, I expected the changes to my body to be huge, and they were, in so many ways. What was most surprising was that the bigger changes occurring were in my thinking and my capacity to love. It was during that time I initiated my quest that continues today, which is to learn all there is to know about motherhood from first kicks to first steps and beyond, and share it. I am now in the middle of my 2nd pregnancy and realize more than ever how important the support of a like-minded community is during this sacred time. Our goal is to provide you with up to date, helpful information that will help guide and support you through your pregnancy so that you can feel confidant and empowered as you move into parenthood. It is with this intention I declared PAM. Motherhood begins now, and let's celebrate together.

The umbilical cord is said to be a ?silent conversation? between mother and child. It is during our pregnancy that we have a direct and meaningful impact on the baby growing inside of us. Every decision we make impacts our little passenger, from the food we eat to the air we breathe to thoughts we think. I have known Anna since her first pregnancy, and have seen firsthand how her positive attitude and her healthy lifestyle choices have impacted her daughter. She has educated and inspired me. Anna's decision to start PAM (Pregnancy Awareness Month) is from her desire to help build awareness and enlighten moms-to-be and mothers everywhere to become the most empowered parents who create an environment for their babies to thrive both in utero and beyond. To me, PAM is an emotional and physical tour of everything amazing in pregnancy options to date, an ensemble of ?dream team? pregnancy experts and authorities. The Hot Moms Club is excited and honored to be a part of this movement. We encourage everyone to join the 2009 kick off event on May 2nd, and spread the messaging and information available all month long with as many mothers as possible!

?Motherhood Begins Now? Kick-off Event

PAM kicks off in Santa Monica, CA on May 2nd from 10 -2:30pm. Come to this exciting Pregnancy and Family Lifestyle Event ? mini expo, if you will. Designed for women considering pregnancy, expectant moms and families of newborns, guests will be treated to panel discussions with Pre & Post Natal and environmental experts (meet renowned pediatrician Dr. Alan Greene and Christopher Gavigan of Healthy Child Healthy World, among others), a Holistic Mommy Spa Lounge hosted by Pregnancy Magazine, a mini maternity Fashion show produced by A Pea in the Pod, Hot Mom?s Club?s young children?s activity area, live music from Renee & Jeremy, a delicious organic lunch hosted by O Organics™ and celebrity chef Domenica Catelli, and a gift bag with mom and baby essentials. Our wonderful sponsors will also be hosting tables with great products as well as information to boot.
