Greetings
Happy February from all of us at Yoga Vida
"February" is derived from the latin term "februum" meaning "purification." The Romans celebrated the month with rituals intended to cleanse and wash away old unuseful ways and make way for the new. Celebrate February by practicing yoga with us regularly during the coming month, starting or continuing your own personal tradition of purification! Follow our schedule updates and special events at www.yogavida.net.

Featured Teacher Andrew Gray
"Growing up a competitive gymnast, my initial thrill in yoga was attempting the most challenging postures. As a teacher, though, I eventually realized that it was not the students with their feet behind their heads that needed yoga instruction the most, but the students who could barely touch their toes. I want all students to feel included and encouraged, especially those that struggle with the more basic postures. After earning my initial teaching certification from a studio focused on the Baptiste Power Vinyasa tradition, I have studied many other styles. I try to use bits and pieces of other traditions to keep my classes creative and fun. Asking me why I do yoga is like asking why I eat food. Yoga is an essential part of my life. It is something I do everyday and can't imagine living without. I don't believe there is such a thing as someone who 'doesn't like yoga,' just someone who hasn't found the right teacher."
