We have just returned from President Barack Obama Inauguration in Washington D.C. – the largest collective shift of consciousness worldwide breaking all records of US gatherings on the Mall as the most watched event in US and global history.

As we were leaving D.C., our cab driver, who was jazzed up with us even at 5:00 a.m. in the morning noted that, "A policeman had said that there was not ONE single arrest on that day-evening which is quite an extraordinary reflection of the power of positive energy upon the people in a normally crime-ridden city". That is the power of collective positive energy.

This month we are highlighting the upcoming Bali Mandala retreat that is happening during the sacred festival of Nyepi in which the entire island of Bali undergoes a ritual purification for a week culminating in a day of no electricity, silence and prayer. We are in a parallel collective purification here in America as we transform the old structures and unnecessary waste and create new sustainable ways of the future.

Bali Mandala Retreat and “The Sacred Flow: Alchemical Rejuvenation Retreat for Teachers” March 20 – 27, 2009

Immerse yourself in one of the most sacred cultures of the planet – where the art of flow is a living experience. The ritual center of Bali in Ubud will be our base for exploration of the magical inner world of the spiritual culture dedicated to the balance of the Great Dance in the form of Siva. Our retreat takes place during the preparations for Nyepi, Balinese New Year, and a day of fasting and reflection where even the airports of Bali shut down to observe the ritual opening to a new cycle. A Hindu island for over a thousand years, Bali is a unique opportunity to receive a deep transmission of the art of bhakti yoga devotion.

Some of the highlights of our retreat include:

• Six day preparation for the Nyepi Festival in which the entire island of Bali shuts down – no electricity
• Study of Balinese ritual cycle with a focus on the Kecak (monkey chant) ritual dance
• Learning to make Balinese offering
• Seva in a local Balinese orphange
• Yoga Trance Dance
• Eco-Revolution yoga in healing fluid bamboo structures of the Green School of Bali
• Jai Hanuman – feeding of the monkey families who live at the temples in the Monkey Forest
