We have an extraordinary field of energy that emanates from our heart fire, the electromagnetic field that syncopates the rhythms within our body as well as our connections beyond our body. In this experiential intensive based on Shiva's new book, you'll leave with a transformed embodiment of your energetic heart as well as tools to "tend the fire" of your heart on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. The class includes interactive education, two energetic vinyasa practices for embodying the energetic heart, and accessible forms of meditation.

Discussion, asana, and meditation.

Ignite Event Supports...
Yoga Energy Activism's SOLAR-AID Campaign

imageSolarAid is a leading international charity that provides access to clean, affordable solar lights.

One small light, one big idea

A solar lamp does more than shine a light. A solar lamp protects the environment and transforms lives.

598 million off-grid Africans have no access to electricity and many rely on toxic kerosene for lighting. These brutal lamps emit noxious black smoke and burn up to 20% of the household income - locking millions into poverty.

By contrast solar lights cost as little as $10, pay for themselves after 12 weeks and last for five years. Having free, clean light and not wasting money on kerosene transforms peoples’ chances in life.

We have taken on the challenge of getting these lights to the people that need them most and aim to get a clean light into every home in Africa by the end of the decade.

And Off the Mat Into the World's Global Seva Challengeimage

Each year, Off the Mat (OTM) sponsors an international service project called the Global Seva Challenge. This year’s Seva Challenge aims to uncover and investigate the most profound challenges to protecting the Amazon rainforest and upholding the rights of its people, both of which are being threatened by deforestation and oil production.  The Ecuadorian government has announced its decision to open up Yasuní National Park - the most biodiverse place on earth and home to numerous indigenous tribes - for oil drilling.  Funds raised during this year's Seva Challenge will support partners working in Ecuador to protect the rainforest and defend indigenous rights.  As part of this year’s Seva Challenge, OTM is also spearheading a year-long campaign to educate and bring awareness to energy use in the United States and our dependence on foreign oil.  Learn more and join us in taking action at

At the Hyatt Regency San Francisco

The legacy of the Heart Fire is more than eight hundred thousand years old—and in our modern world, we need more than ever to consciously reconnect to the radiant field that transcends time, space, and culture. “The direct awakening of the heart often happens when we are at a crisis point, when the armor of our heart has to crack,” writes Shiva Rea. “Let us return to the power and magnificence of our hearts—as living fire, as intelligent energy and electromagnetic radiance, and as our illuminating guide toward love, creativity, and deep knowing of our true sacred nature.”
