"Sometimes the world is so beautiful I have to shoot rainbows out of my eyes!"
These words, from an entertaining birthday card we received this month, have coloured many moments at the Tree as of late. They have served as a reminder that there are rainbows in everyday moments, not just after it rains. We know this because we (as Calgarians) have done a lot of waiting for the seasons to reveal themselves - is it Winter or Spring? We've decided it's time to stop waiting, to move forward, and to launch into the freshness of our own season and, better yet, our own time.
This month we joyfully kick-off our first 30-Day Challenge of 2012, which is the first of three events designed to help you launch your very own season! These events unite both students and teachers in community with the purpose of expanding your practice, your lives and the lives of those around you. These offerings are in their own chrysalis', ever shifting and evolving, so check out the details below, and stay tuned for future offerings.
Whether or not you're participating in the 30-Day Challenge, take a moment to identify your yoga "challenge" for the month. Whether it's 30 days of practice or 30 days of walking around the block, how can you create more beauty and life in your days? Come to your mat and find out.

Karma Yoga |

Join us Wednesdays at noon for our Karma yoga class!
This community-based class is offered as an inexpensive option for yoga, as well as to support local charities. There is a $5 minimum donation, and anything more that you can offer is welcomed.
In 2011, we raised over $3000 for our charity, the Women's Centre of Calgary and $4000 for the orphanage in Bali.
In 2012, BYC continues to support the women's shelter with cash donations and weekly yoga classes.
Please join us Wednesdays at noon as we come together to bring light and hope to those in need in our very own community.
Thank you for your support!
Parting Quote of the Month:
Let us live deeply enough till there is only one direction...
and slow enough till there is only the beginning of time...
and loud enough in our hearts. ~ Mark Nepo
