As a way to honor and recognize the historical and philosophical link between co-ops and credit unions, all Wheatsville members are eligible to join the University Federal Credit Union.

Come on in to the Wheatsville Deli and check out our recently revamped self-service food bar, and grab’n’go cooler! That’s right, we’ve moved many of the items on the olive bar to grab’n’go and put a bunch of our tastiest, most popular cold salads in their place on the bar, like Cashew Linguine, Potato, Onion and Caper Salad, and Green Beans Amandine.
The salad bar has been reset as well, featuring more of your favorite items, crisp, cold and ready for lunch! The entire grab’n’go cooler has been revamped as well, increasing our available selection of Take’n’Bake Pizzas, Dinners for 2, and fresh Sushi!
In addition, we have been able to add a few shelves of refrigerated bakery items, so come on in and try a cool, tart Lemon Bar, decadent slice of creamy vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, or our new staff favorite – soy-free, vegan Tres Leches Cake! Stock Up
Owner Appreciation Days begin July 7th and it's a great time to stock up on some of the frozen items that you love like Henry and Lisa’s Fish Nuggets or Applegate Farms Gluten Free Chicken Tenders. These are both easy to prepare and great snacks for the kids while school is out.
Stock up on those fresh meats for the next few days or maybe check out some of those items you’ve been putting off trying like some goat from Windy Hill Farms or some lamb from one of our newest Texas farms to offer their humanely and sustainably raised Black Headed Dorpers, the Bonner Farm. Austin Pets Alive!
Wow! Our total donation to Out Youth, June’s Community Action Group, was a record-breaking $4,167. Thank you to all the shoppers and owners who contributed as well as the Wheatsville staff members who dedicated their time to making so many donation bracelets.
This month, our Community Action Group is Austin Pets Alive! This non-profit animal shelter, run almost exclusively by dedicated volunteers, promotes and provides the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals in Austin. They focus solely on the pets who have already been passed over by other groups and the shelters’ adoption programs and only take the healthy and treatable pets who are about to be killed and have no other options.
Austin Pets Alive! will receive 1% of the co-op’s Wednesday sales in July and additional donations that shoppers make at the register. Feel free to donate your reusable bag and container credits any day of the week. If you donate $1 or more, you will receive an Austin Pets Alive! window decal, available while supplies last.
